Reviews
I love Folkestone Silver Screen Cinema. Such a classic cinema. Good price for the movies too. I don’t need or want a big fancy modern cinema. This little beauty is good for me!
Well when I booked the tickets online it asked what seats I wanted to select so I selected the 5 I wanted. It then charges you the good old booking fee of £3 that was another entry. We got to the cinema baring in mind this was our 1st time here we usually always use the Dover silver screen and have done for many many years but temporarily closed can not see that opening but poorly run and run down. Anyways we arrived 6 mins passed the 3pm start time to be greeted by a chap who scanned my QR code and then said the seats are not guaranteed. He then mentioned there was only a few odd places and have to sit where ever. I said great what good is that to me with my kids when I booked the tickets early in advance and only two other tickets were booked at the time if we can not sit together and dotted around the cinema. We entered after arguing with him and almost blocking us from entering I basically said get out the way your wasting my time I want to go through and see where we can now sit. The wife and my three kids sat right at the very front at the side which is way too close and after said seats were not comfortable and had neck ache looking up. I had to sit at the back in one of the last seats. The cinema is badly set up and the size of a shoe box rubbish seating arrangement. On the plus side the screen was decent and picture was great quality sound wasn't too bad. We wont be back and had planned to go back me and the wife tonight to watch scream 5 but not after this experience we won't return again. The toilets didn't flush and you had to shoe horn yourself into them this was the ladies I never used the gents
Beautiful cinema - unfortunately I haven’t been there since 2021 - exasperated by the terrible sound quality and uncomfortable sitting arrangements -
Love this cinema and go whenever I can......nice cosy feel to it....a little gem
Forget IMax and recliners chairs...this is a cinema for cinema lovers with a great team and a beautiful setting. Cheap tickets so everyone can enjoy the big screen. Support your local cinema!

Transported right back to the time before IMAX and reclining seats
Lovely atmosphere

Easy online booking
Good selection of snacks and drinks which were not too expensive
Also loads of parking nearby which was free due to the time of the showing, always a bonus
